Biography Aivars Hermanis

Aivars Hermanis:

musician,composer,music arranger, producer. Born in 1955 in Liepaja.

Graduate of Liepaja Music College of Em.Melngailis, specializing in

the classic guitar, folk instruments orchestra conducting and music

teaching.He started his career in music by playing in restaurants,

clubs and youth rock bands in Liepaja. In 1976 he moved to the

capital of Latvia - Riga. He has played in several rock groups and

bands as a professional musician, such as "Suvenirs", "Tip-Top",

"Modo", "Opus", the State Radio and Television Orchestra, "Remix",

Instrumental Band of Raimonds Pauls and Big Band of Rozenbergs.

By the end of 1980's he started his own business parallel to his music

career. He is the founder and the member of several companies. He

takes an active part in the process of drafting the legislation

documents concerning the protection of intellectual property and rights

in Latvia.
