There are five bands named Gnu.

4. Gnu is a bosnian heavy metal band based in Sarajevo, active from 1994 to 1996. They released one demo named State of Misery on May 1995. The tracks are a document on how music was created and recorded during a time of war, siege, death and destruction. http://gnumusic.bandcamp.com/

5. Gnu was a heavy/prog metal band from the south of Brazil. Changed its name to K'harut.
