Gregory Richard Mathieson is an American pianist,keyboardist and songwriter, born February 25, 1950 in Los Angeles, California.

In the studio Greg Mathieson has been working with and playing on albums from Alessi, Justo Almario, Abraham Laboriel, Herb Alpert, Toni Basil, Steven Bishop, Laura Branigan, Larry Carlton, Shawn Cassidy, Bill Champlin, Cher, Chris Christian, Commodores, Jerry Corbetta, Randy Crawford, Paulino Da Costa, Sheena Easton, David Foster, Jay Graydon, Billy Idol, Julio Inglesias, Al Jarreau, Mark Jordan, Steve Kipner, Koinonia, Michael Landau, Ronnie Laws, Nils Lofgren, Steve Lukather, Melissa Manchester, Gap Manginone, Manhattan Transfer, Nazareth, Lee Ritenour, David Roberts, Michael Rodgers, Michael Ruff, Seals & Croft, Simple Minds, Ringo Starr, Barbara Streisand, Donna Summer, Eric Tagg, Tower of Power, Franki Valli, Dionne Warwick, What If?, Deniece Williams, Grease, Alan Sorrenti and more.

In 1989 he released his soloalbum “For My Friends”, a studioalbum featuring: Alex Acuna, Lenny Castro, Luis Conte, Paul Jackson Jr., Abraham Laboriel, Michael Landau, Carlos Vega and others session musicians.

Now 12 years after Greg Mathieson is releasing a new Baked Potato Live recording, a double live cd with Michael Landau (guitars), Abraham Laboriel (bass), Vinnie Colaiuta (drums) and himself on keyboards. On the Baked Potato Live 2000 album you can hear the songs: The Sauce, Goyo, Abraham´s Prayer, Song For My Grandfather, S.S.F.2, Goe, Savada, I Don´t Know, Slow Glide, Greg´s Groove, I´m Home & LMNOP.
