History The Autumn Stones
Toronto-based indie-pop quartet The Autumn Stones is comprised of Ciaran Megahey (voice, guitar), Michael Newton (bass), Matthew McLaughlin (drums) and Gary Butler (horns, guitar).
Vibrant horn and hook-laden jangle guitar play counterpoint to the smooth, melancholic vocals and cerebral lyrics.
The Autumn Stones's debut album Companions of the Flame was released May 3, 2011.
In 2013, the group was invited to participate in NOW magazine's 50/50 video series, where they provided a sultry arrangement of Feist's "One Evening." The latest recording, the single "End Of Faith," was released April 22, 2014.
The band continues to preview songs from forthcoming album Escapists at venues in Toronto.
