2) Gorilla were also a UK band formed in 1995 by vocalist John Whitby, guitarist Andy Gatford and drummer Neil Cooper (now with Therapy?), of disbanded Derby-based progressive metal band The Beyond. The lineup was completed by David Petty on bass and John Lingard on violin. They split in 1998, having released just two E.P.s - Extended Play and Shutdown and two singles - Who Wants To Save The World Anyway and Outside.
