Biography Janne Schra
Janne Schra (born Janneke Maria Ali Schra, 21 December 1981 in Laren, The Netherlands) is a Dutch singer-songwriter. Janne grew up in Huizen, attended Art School in Utrecht, then moved to Nijmegen and is currently based in Amsterdam.
Schra co-founded and fronted the band Room Eleven (2001-2010). The group toured internationally and was particularly succesful in Japan. After the band's split she started to perform under the moniker Schradinova, but reverted to her own name after just one Schradinova album, which is now credited to Janne Schra on streaming platforms: 2010's India Lima Oscar Victor Echo You.
Albums released as Janne Schra: Janne Schra (2012), Ponzo (2015), OK (2018) and the Dutch-language In de regen (2021, although formally credited to Janne & De Vogels).
2016's Ponzo Light mini album contains new versions of six Ponzo songs, recorded with Schra's backing band (which had not been formed yet when Ponzo was recorded).
Schra also recorded collaborative albums with the Robin Nolan Trio (Janne Schra & Robin Nolan Trio, 2014) and the Noordpool Orkest (Vasalis, 2017).
