"After living in New York 1987-89, playing with a number of legendary jazzmusicians, Lars Møller spent several prolonged periods in New Delhi in the early 90’s, studying Indian classical music. As a saxophone player, he combines his American and Indian influences, the melodic Nordic tradition and a very personal quarter-tone language into a lyrical and forceful expression. His ability to form long lasting bands with a personal sound has been demonstrated by Lars Møller Group (1994-2001) with 5 CD releases, several awards and performances worldwide. The unique band sound of Lars Møller Quartet (since 2008) is based on his longtime musical corporation with guitar player Thor Madsen, matched by the remarkable young german bass/drums team Robert Landferman and Jonas Burgwinkel.

Møller’s original works for larger ensembles is marked by elegant rhythmic and melodic concepts and his delicate sense of color, drama and form. As a versatile contemporary jazz composer, he sometimes includes electronica, choir and world infuences in his music."

He has performed in Europe, USA, China, Brazil, Australia and South East Asia."
