History Andor's Jazz Band
NOSTALGIA FROM SHELLAC TIMES
Ever since its takeoff, in 1978, this dutch orchestra from Breda, The Netherlands and its nine experienced musicians focus on the delightful, enchanting Hot Jazz and Dance music of the years 1922-1931, both in traditional arrangements of the era and in new arrangements.
They perform, to the delight of an ever growing audience in Europe, who rediscover the pleasure of this music. The band plays without any amplification, apart from the announcements and the vocal parts.
Throughout its existence the orchestra has given numerous concerts for jazz clubs, festivals, theatres, broadcast and television networks all over Europe.
All nine carefully selected top musicians devote their individual talents to this enchanting and exciting music, with the beautiful harmonies and tunes as played by famous orchestras as Fletcher Henderson's, Duke Ellington's, etc.
All this is lively presented to the audience in the happy atmosphere of the “Golden Twenties”.
