History The Brehms

After collaborating professionally in the Dallas Jazz scene for many years, David and Stephanie began working on their own original material. Their collaboration lead to an album of Jazz infused tunes, as well as a trip to the altar. It was a good year.

Many fans have commented that The Brehm's Band seduces the crowd into a sophisticated chill, reminiscent of the smoky jazz clubs of yesterday, and yet, in a flash, they will have you on your feet, ready to get down with one of their surfer rock tunes or salsa standards.

Vocalist STEPHANIE YOUNG BREHM has been performing professionally for years as a singer in the Dallas market. With a smooth and sultry style, Stephanie brings a feminine and honest approach to her music. The Dallas Morning News commented that she was "one of the sexiest performers in Dallas." Her sound is often compared to Julie London, with a hint of a Jack Johnson vibe.

Growing up in San Antonio, DAVID L. BREHM developed an appreciation for guitar driven music while listening to the likes of George Benson, Carlos Santana, and Stevie Ray Vaughan. He studied jazz guitar at the University of North Texas and learned enough notes to compose a few of his own. His musical compositions can be found on the silver screen in the GETmill Productions film, A NOBLE WAY (www.anobleway.com) and the upcoming webisode series, SCOUT SIX (www.scoutsix.com).

The Brehm's Band grooves with a rockin group of outstanding musicians who always bring the house down. The rhythm section is lead by the amazing Alan Pollard, whose 20 year drumming career spans working with legends such as T. Bone Burnett, as well as multi-Grammy winning producer Brad Benedict and engineer Michael Frandelli. Alan is joined by Young Heo on bass. Whether performing with an upright or electric, this awarded bassists holds down the groove.

The band also boasts two graduates from the prestigious music performance program at the University of North Texas. Bryan Meggison is practically a one man band that jams on the saxophone, keys, congas, or whatever else he can get his hands on; always a crowd favorite, Bryan has performed all over the USA, and he ignites the stage with his mad sax solos. Fellow UNT graduate, Brina Palencia rounds out the band with her lovely harmonies and beautiful presence!

With a clear passion for their craft, THE BREHMS BAND delivers back-beat grooves that will heat up any venue.

The Brehm's Band is based in Dallas, TX.
