The music of Café Drechsler is a blend of HipHop, Drum’n’Bass, Jazz, R&B, Bossa Nova, etc …

Their first album Café Drechsler (Universal, Mouth To Mouth) got them worldwide recognition and was released in over 20 countries around the globe. The feedback, reviews and response was both outstanding and enthusiastic and got them into the top 10 radio- and club charts from Germany, Australia, Greece to Indonesia. It seems as if Café Drechsler created their own niche in the meantime and quickly became a trademark for high quality improvised live club- and dance music.

Since their 4 years on this planet Café Drechsler took their spontaneous, unmistakable sound of improvised tunes over live club beats to a lot of common and uncommon places, from subway stations to palaces, from castles to underground clubs (which sometimes were the same), from the Konzerthaus in Vienna to the nu blu in NYC’s east village, from festivals in Rome, Prag and Warsaw to Lovefields and Movibes in Germany. Road proven – that’s what they are!

... and now – here it comes: radio snacks features besides some luscious and burning instrumentals including Waxolutionists - member DJ Zuzee on the decks and tam tam d'afrique-frontman Cheikh on djembe . Also the incredibly soulful and touching vocals of Daniela Bauer aka Zyra Daisy, who delivers at her young age a brilliant and stunning performance. you better keep an eye on her!

Other contributing guest-vocal-appearances feature canadian born singer-songwriter, fm4-radio-host

John Megill, ex Bauchklang member Flo aka Voyeur on a pretty dangerous tango and Paul Pluesh on "What's next" with one of the strongest hooks on that record. Finally Alexdrum gets to take revenge on his old "Helmet".

Café Drechsler are Ulrich Drechsler aka Uli on tenor saxophone and Bassclarinet. He is for sure one of the few real unique , sometimes soothing, at times punching and screaming voices on those wood wind instruments out there today and simply front man Oliver Steger aka Oliver, Mr. Low Frequency and belly massage therapist gone canon digging punk and contrabass virtuoso Alex Deutsch aka Alexdrum on a bunch of more or less noisy trash basically, merely held together by some relentless pounding live club beats and smooth soul soothers.

Alexdrum is also the producer of their brand new album radio snacks on the very fine viennese label Mouth To Mouth / Soulseduction, run by Alexdrum and his soulmate DJ Shalom with heavy support by Tobias and another bunch of wicked enthusiasts.
