History Strasse
New Wave/Synth, Punk Noir pioneers. Formed in Sweden.
Worked with Ultravox, Midge Ure (Band Aid). Stage and studio.
Producing Strasse records: CRASH SLOWLY, THE MARKET HALL.
Started out as a "Heavy-Metal-Kraftwerk". No vocals. Reckless guitars to a late night, monotone beat.
Songs like Strassenrauber and The Pulse of Karloff were obviously no Grammy material.
As art students STRASSE had focus on something else.
Greatest album: Följa John (1981) with their signature-song Cleo "Chikan".
Latest album: Transylvanian Flower (2005) produced by Charles Storm.
Members: Max Abbey, Russ Ryden, UK Sandin, Storm.
Original Member: Kaj (Benny Jack Dennis) Zack (drums).
Labels: RCA Records, Luminol Grammofon.
