History

A.S Dragon is a French rock group, consisting of the members Stéphane Salvi (guitar), Michaël Garçon (piano), David Forgione remplace Fred Jimenez (bass) and Hervé Bouétard (drums). Natacha Le Jeune (singer) quit the group in 2007. A.S. Dragon is the name of a football club from de Le Gosier, Guadeloupe (France).

Originally conceived by producer and arranger Bertrand Burgalat (Nick Cave, Laibach, Jad Wio ...) as a house band for his label Tricatel, following the model of 60s soul labels (e.g. Booker T & the MG's with Stax) and especially for the needs of famous writer Michel Houellebecq's tour in Spring 2000, A.S Dragon quickly revealed itself as a full time band. The former members from Kojak (F), Needles (CH) and Montecarl (F) remember a sold out gig that the prophetic novelist never attended: "It was our best show ... at least, the one that made us realise we weren't just a backing band."
