History Cousin Harley

Cousin Harley is a Canadian rockabilly band led by guitarist, vocalist and songwriter Paul Pigat. The other members of the band include Keith Picot on double bass and drummer Jesse Cahill.

Pigat is often considered a "guitarist's guitar player" and he has served as a studio musician backing artists as varied as Neko Case, Jim Byrnes and Jakob Dylan. His fingerpicking skills are renowned and he has strong technical skills and was trained as a jazz guitarist. Both Picot and Cahill also have jazz backgrounds, giving Cousin Harley a bit of a more polished sound than you might find in a typical three-piece rockabilly band, while retaining the raw energy of the genre.

Cousin Harley has released three albums to-date - Jukin', Hillbilly Madness and It's a Sin. Pigat has also recorded a solo acoustic country blues project under the name Boxcar Campfire.
