Kebu is a composer and keyboardist who creates new instru-

mental, melodical synthesizer music of the kind that was made

in the 70’s and 80’s.

His debut album, To Jupiter and Back, is a tribute to the great

synthesizer music that he grew up with of artists such as Jean

Michel Jarre, Vangelis, and Mike Oldfield. The album consists

solely of music made using vintage analog synthesizers

recorded in the old fashioned way using only sequencers,

tape machines and analog mixers, which gives the album a

very warm and organic sound.

Th album was released in May 2012, and went straight to

number 28 on the Finnish Album Chart. The album was

nominated for"Best International Album" in the German

Schallwelle Music Awards

He has attracted a lot of appraisal and attention for his

YouTube channel containing high quality demo videos

of vintage synthesizers using his own compositions. The

channel was set up in 2010 and has already received

over half a million views.

Kebu’s music is distinguished not only by a dedicated

treatment of analog synthesis but also of an audience-

captivating live performance. Kebu’s live gigs are

surrounded by warmth and joy, as well as a huge

arsenal of analog synths

Kebu is also working on the debut album of Kouzin Bedlam,

where he plays keyboard. That record is expected to be

released in 2013.
