История Ikpeng

The brothers Thadeu Carvalho a.k.a. Stun and Bernard Carvalho a.k.a. Moicano work together in project IKPENG which began in the middle of 2006. Mixing opportunities to listen strong artists in parties/festivals align with experience and passion in rock bands started their career in 2003 as Djs playing in small parties. Absorbing much knowledge and the desire to create a different sound with psy spirit, they decided to compose own music as IKPENG giving emphasis in heavy strokes with nocturnal environments.

There is more than one version about the term Ikpeng origin that is told by the Indians. Most state that this is the name of an angry wasp, the larvae of which they rub against their skin in a warrior ritual. According to several people, it is an ancestral ethnonym, and for others it corresponds to a name that was given to them by ancient enemies and which they later adopted.
