TILION is a new Italian PROGRESSIVE band that was founded from the ashes of PROWLERS, a group that released three albums in the nineties. Tilion consists of Roberto Bobo Aiolfi (bass), Paolo Cassago (drums), Alfio Costa (keyboards) and Flavio Costa (guitars). The music of this group is symphonic and dark progressive with some jazz influence and perhaps even hints of prog-metal. In July 1999, Tilion was the support-act of the DEEP PURPLE show in Pontoglio (BS) Italy. The band has recorded "LIVE DEMO 99" a document of that live performance. Their real first own release was the demo Suoni from 2000, distribuited by Musea records. This is progressive rock with Seventies influences: great atmospheares with hard-rock, folk and jazz. The official debut album Insolitariamente was released in 2003, pubblicated by Mellow Records. It is an album that is very much in the seventies Italian tradition and with a prominent use of vintage keyboards (Hammond organ, Minimoog, Mellotron, Rhodes piano etc.). In this release there are also some guest, like VINCENZO ZITELLO the great italian celtic harpist, that plays harps and flutes. They have also participated in many tribute projects: in Canterbury tribute ("From Canterbury and beyond"), in KING CRIMSON tribute ("The Letters An Unconventional Italian Guide to King Crimson") and in Sergio Leone tribute The Spaghetti Epic I & II an idea by Colossus Magazine produced by Musea Records. Now hosted by the Musea label, TILION took its time to work on its new opus. After the use of the Italian tongue on the first effort, the lyrics switch to English this time. With a big help from some great guests as Lino VAIRETTI and Irvin VAIRETTI (OSANNA), the soprano Letizia SPERZAGA, Sophya BACCINI (PRESENCE), Helena BIAGIONI (MALAAVIA), Hamadi TRABELSI (COLOSSUS PROJECT) and the legendary Clive JONES (BLACK WIDOW), the musicians have produced a wonderful concept inspired by fear and human emotions, from an original idea by keyboards player Alfio COSTA. .........A.M.I.G.D.A.L.A. is the title of the new album .....
