Sfinx

Romanian progressive rock band. Founded in Bucharest, Romania in 1962. Activity ended in 1994 Bassist Corneliu Bibi Ionescu was the only founding member to stay in the band until the end. The most famous of all the band members was undoubtedly Dan Andrei Aldea, a legendary figure in Romanian rock scene, as well as an excellent musician (guitar, violin, voice, piano, synthesizer, electric violin). He used to be the group's leader and main composer.

Peter Gabriel's Genesis and many other bands conceptually influenced Sfinx, but their sound remained unique.
