History

Maisie Peters is an English singer-songwriter from West Sussex known for her narrative-driven pop and keen observational lyrics. She began writing stories and songs at a young age, eventually sharing her original music on YouTube in 2015. Her debut single, Place We Were Made, released in 2017, became an indie-pop success and earned her significant attention from major labels.

Early Career and Atlantic Records

Following the success of her early singles like "Birthday," Peters signed with Atlantic Records UK. Under this label, she released two EPs: Dressed Too Nice for a Jacket (2018) and It's Your Bed Babe, It's Your Funeral (2019). Her music gained wider cultural visibility when tracks such as "Feels Like This" and "Favourite Ex" were featured on the reality series Love Island.

In 2020, she contributed the song "Smile" to the Birds of Prey film soundtrack. The following year, she wrote and performed the entire soundtrack for the second season of the Apple TV+ series Trying, which included the track "Funeral" featuring James Bay.

Signing with Gingerbread Man Records

A major turning point in her career occurred in June 2021 when Peters signed with Ed Sheeran’s Gingerbread Man Records. Her debut studio album, You Signed Up for This, was released in August 2021. The record debuted at number two on the UK Albums Chart and was highly successful in independent record stores. The album’s lead singles, "John Hughes Movie" and "Psycho," marked her first appearances on the British singles charts.

Peters spent much of 2022 expanding her international presence. She embarked on her first headlining tour of the United States and served as the opening act for Ed Sheeran’s +–=÷x Tour. During this period, she released several singles, including "Cate's Brother" and "Not Another Rockstar," which signaled a shift toward a more pop-rock influenced sound.

The Good Witch and Global Success

In June 2023, Peters released her second studio album, The Good Witch. Described by the artist as a "twisted version of a breakup album," the project was promoted through a series of tarot card-themed reveals for each track. The album featured singles such as "Body Better," "Lost The Breakup," and "Two Weeks Ago."

To support the release, she performed at major festivals including Glastonbury and Lollapalooza and launched "The Road to Wembley Tour" in the UK alongside a North American headlining run. In October 2023, she released a deluxe edition of the album featuring six additional tracks, including "Holy Revival" and "Guy On A Horse."

Recent Projects and Florescence

Throughout 2024, Peters continued to tour extensively as a support act for major global artists. She joined Coldplay on select European dates, supported Noah Kahan on his UK and European summer tour, and opened for Conan Gray during his North American "Found Heaven on Tour."

In October 2025, Peters announced her third studio album, Florescence, scheduled for release on May 15, 2026. The announcement was accompanied by the release of two singles, "You You You" and "Audrey Hepburn." To promote the upcoming record, she embarked on the "Before The Bloom Tour," visiting various international locations.
