History

Three Fish is a musical project formed in 1996, initiated by Jeff Ament, the bassist for the renowned band Pearl Jam.

Formation and Early Work

The initial lineup of Three Fish comprised Ament alongside Robbi Robb, known for his work with Tribe After Tribe, and Richard Stuverud, a member of Fastbacks. Ament and Robb initially connected during a tour where both their primary bands were performing. This collaboration led to the formation of Three Fish as a side project.

Self-Titled Debut

In 1996, the band released their self-titled debut album. This record showcased a fusion of rock music with elements inspired by mystical Eastern musical styles, reflecting the unique collaborative vision of Ament and Robb.

Reformation and Second Album

Three Fish reconvened in 1999. The band embarked on a tour throughout that year to support their second album, titled The Quiet Table.
