Alissa White-Gluz’s Blue Medusa Debuts Live and Releases Single

The Live Debut at Corrupted Blood Club Show

The new musical project led by Alissa White‐Gluz, the former vocalist for Arch Enemy and The Agonist, made its first-ever live appearance at Huxleys Neue Welt in Berlin, Germany. The band performed as one of the surprise headliners for the Corrupted Blood Club Show, an event organized by Maximilian "HandOfBlood" Knabe. The lineup and concept were kept secret until the final moments, despite the show having sold out in a single day back in November.

The event featured additional secret headliners Heaven Shall Burn and Kreator, alongside major announcements concerning Corrupted Blood Records. The performance was broadcast via a livestream on Twitch, which was hosted by White-Gluz herself. The stream reached a total of 295,000 unique viewers, primarily from Germany, France, and the United Kingdom, and was featured on the Twitch homepage in those regions.

New Single and Music Video: "Crocodile."

Coinciding with the live debut, Blue Medusa released its third single, "Crocodile." The track follows the previously released singles "Checkmate" and "Flying Monkey." Described as dark, tense, and unsettling, the song explores themes of hidden danger and instinctive dread.

It's the feeling that something is lurking just beneath the surface of what appears to be safe or familiar. That tension between what you perceive and what you sense; that is where the song lives."

The accompanying music video marks another collaboration between White-Gluz and director Vicente Cordero of Industrialism Films. It features the first full-band performance from Blue Medusa and includes guest appearances by Beatriz Mariano of Okkultist, who contributed both chilling visuals and heavy vocals to the track. During the video, White-Gluz plays a custom guitar created by Nik Huber Guitars. This instrument is a three-way collaboration between Sea Shepherd, Doyle Wolfgang Von Frankenstein, and Blue Medusa. Autographed by both Alissa and Doyle, the guitar features Von Frankenstein Monster Gear pick-ups and strings and will be auctioned to benefit Sea Shepherd’s marine-life conservation efforts.

Career Transition and Recent Activity

The launch of Blue Medusa follows the conclusion of White-Gluz's tenure with Arch Enemy. She joined the band in 2014 as the replacement for Angela Gossow and recorded four studio albums: "War Eternal" (2014), "Will To Power" (2017), "Deceivers" (2022), and "Blood Dynasty" (2025). Her final performance with the group took place on November 15, 2025, in Düsseldorf, Germany, during the closing show of the European "Blood Dynasty" tour, which also featured Amorphis, Eluveitie, and Gatecreeper.

Throughout 2025, White-Gluz maintained a high profile through various collaborations and appearances:

• Fronting DragonForce at Sonic Temple and Welcome To Rockville.

• Performing the official Wacken anthem, "Our Kingdom," with Bear McCreary at Wacken Open Air.

• Surprise appearances with Ice Nine Kills at festivals including Rock Am Ring, Rock Im Park, and Inkcarceration.

• An acoustic set with Savage Lands and a guest appearance with Sepultura during "Kaiowas" at Hellfest.

Verified artist data indicates that Alissa White-Gluz was formed in 1985. Now 41 years old, she continues to use her platform to advocate for social change, including veganism, environmental conservation, and the ethical treatment of animals.

Blue Medusa has already confirmed several major festival appearances for 2026 and 2027. Before these dates, White-Gluz will again front DragonForce for their "Inhumane Rampage" anniversary tour in North America this fall.
