Luis Alfonso Rodríguez López-Cepero, globally recognized as Luis Fonsi, was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, on April 15, 1978. He is a Grammy-winning singer, composer, and actor who has achieved significant international fame.
Fonsi's family relocated to Orlando, Florida, during his early childhood. Inspired by Latin America's renowned boy band Menudo, Fonsi harbored dreams of a music career from a young age. Although he didn't join Menudo, he participated in local boy bands, forming a friendship with future *NSYNC member Joey Fatone. His early musical experiences also included a notable appearance with former Menudo members at San Juan's Roberto Clemente Coliseum, where he performed alongside El Reencuentro.
