Big Time Rush, often abbreviated as BTR, is an American boy band formed in Los Angeles, California, in 2009. The group gained prominence through their starring roles in the Nickelodeon television series of the same name, which also featured guest appearances from notable artists such as Nicole Scherzinger and Jordin Sparks.

The band's lineup features Kendall Schmidt, James Maslow, Carlos Pena Jr., and Logan Henderson. Their debut album, BTR, was released in October 2010. The album achieved commercial success, reaching number 3 on the Billboard 200 chart and earning a Gold certification from the RIAA for exceeding 500,000 units sold.

Their second studio album, Elevate, followed on November 21, 2011. The single "Windows Down," reportedly the first track from the band's third album, made its live debut at the B96 Pepsi Summer Bash in Chicago on June 16, 2012, and was officially released the following week.
