Formed in 2001 from the German hinterlands, Electro Baby emerged as a four-piece stoner rock outfit. The original lineup featured El Matador on vocals, Robmaster Flash on guitar, Mr. Olli Buster on bass, and The Drumgod on drums. Their early work, including the 2002 EP "Grrr…!", was firmly rooted in the pure stoner rock sound.
By 2003, with the release of their second album, "Electro Baby Land," the band began to push the boundaries, incorporating elements that ventured into heavy metal territory. Their third album, self-titled "Electro Baby," arrived in 2007 via Abandon Records, marked by the addition of a second guitarist, The Neighbour. This period saw Electro Baby solidify their distinctive sound, a potent blend drawing inspiration from bands like THE HELLACOPTERS, QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE, MONSTER MAGNET, and PANTERA. They aptly describe their genre as PSYCHEDELIC STONER METAL.
