Ras Algethi was an influential Italian doom metal band, established in Milan in 1993. The group is widely recognized as a pioneering force within the funeral doom subgenre. Their sound was characterized by slow, crushing rhythms, the prominent use of church organs, and a profoundly dense and immersive atmosphere.

Throughout their existence, Ras Algethi released two notable recordings. The first was their 1993 demo, titled Oblita Divinitas. This was followed by their sole full-length album in 1995, Oneiricon - The White Hypnotic. The band disbanded shortly after the release of their album. Several key members subsequently went on to form the band Canaan, carrying forward elements of their distinctive sound.
