Technohead
Technohead was a happy hardcore duo composed of husband and wife Michael Wells and Lee Newman. Tragically, Lee Newman passed away from cancer on August 4, 1995.
Musical Achievements
The group achieved significant recognition for their UK Top Ten hit, "I Wanna Be a Hippy." This track also secured the number one position in both the Netherlands and Germany. Their album, "Headsex," remains a notable release from their discography.
Other Monikers
In addition to their work as Technohead, the duo also recorded and released music under several other names, including GTO, Greater Than One, Church of Extacy, John + Julie, and Tricky Disco.
Post-Tragedy Releases
Following Lee Newman's death, Michael Wells continued to release music under the Technohead name, issuing two further singles: "Happy Birthday" and "Banana-na-na." He later pursued projects under the monikers S.O.L.O and Signs ov Chaos.
