Skewbald

Skewbald, also known as Grand Union, was a short-lived hardcore punk band from the Washington, D.C. area. The group was formed in late 1981 by former Minor Threat members Ian MacKaye and Jeff Nelson, with Eddie Janney on guitar and John Falls on bass. The band's existence coincided with the brief hiatus of Minor Threat before its reunion in early 1982. Despite never performing live, the members could not agree on a name, with MacKaye favoring "Skewbald" and Nelson preferring "Grand Union."

The band's only recordings were eventually released in 1991 as a 7-inch single on clear vinyl. This release served to commemorate Dischord Records' 50th release, preserving the group's sonic output for fans and historical documentation.
