Following the critical success of his 2008 solo album, Where You Go I Go Too, and the 2009 collaborative release with Prins Thomas, II, Oslo's master of disco, Hans-Peter Lindstrøm, returns with a new project. This time, he partners with vocalist Christabelle for Real Life Is No Cool, an album characterized by its edgy pop sound, structured chaos, and hypnotic rhythms.
Lindstrøm originally began working on Real Life Is No Cool prior to Where You Go I Go Too. However, the solo album was completed first. The process of creating Real Life Is No Cool, which features ten concise pop songs with vocals, ultimately inspired the expansive and monumental nature of Where You Go I Go Too, with its three extended tracks and a nearly half-hour opener. Essentially, the creation of Where You Go I Go Too served as a reaction to Lindstrøm's work on Real Life Is No Cool. Once Where You Go I Go Too gained international recognition, Lindstrøm returned to his studio to finalize Real Life Is No Cool.
