History
Bell Orchestre
Bell Orchestre is a five-piece instrumental ensemble hailing from Montreal, Canada. The band's core members are Richard Parry on bass, Sarah Neufeld on violin, Pietro Amato on French horn, Kaveh Nabatian on trumpet, and Stefan Schneider on drums and percussion. Notably, both Sarah Neufeld and Richard Parry are also active members of the acclaimed band Arcade Fire.
Early Years and Debut Album
The band's inaugural full-length album, Recording A Tape The Colour Of Light, was recorded in 2003. However, its official release was delayed until late 2005, primarily due to the members' touring commitments with Arcade Fire.
Second Album and Subsequent Release
In November 2008, the independent record label Arts & Crafts announced the forthcoming release of Bell Orchestre's second full-length record, titled As Seen Through Windows. The album subsequently experienced an unofficial leak in its entirety to various blogs and file-sharing platforms on February 19th, 2009, prior to its official distribution.
