LeVert was an R&B group formed in the mid-1980s, fronted by vocalist Gerald LeVert. Gerald, the son of O'Jays founder Eddie LeVert, embarked on his recording career with the group. The trio was completed by Sean LeVert, Gerald's brother, and Marc Gordon.
LeVert released several popular recordings during their career. Their 1985 album, I Get Hot, marked their initial foray into the music scene. This was followed by Bloodline in 1986, which achieved significant success, featuring the number one hit single "Pop Pop Pop Goes My Mind." The group continued their momentum with The Big Throwdown in 1987 and Just Coolin' in 1988. Both The Big Throwdown and Just Coolin' were certified gold, highlighting their commercial appeal.
