Little Bushman is the brainchild of Warren Maxwell, a prominent figure in New Zealand's music scene. Formerly the lead singer of the acclaimed band TrinityRoots, Maxwell has channeled his distinctive sound into this new project, which explores the rich territory of 1960s and 70s-influenced psychedelic rock, deeply rooted in blues traditions.
The band's debut album, The Onus Of Sand, showcases Maxwell's masterful navigation of these musical currents. The album draws significant inspiration from legendary artists such as Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, and The Who, while simultaneously remaining firmly anchored in the New Zealand roots sound that Maxwell himself helped to pioneer.
