Mumakil was an active Swiss grindcore band that existed from 2004 to 2017. Hailing from Geneva, the quartet was formed by musicians with a shared vision for creating a brutal and devastating sound. Guitarist Jéjé, formerly of Nostromo, and bassist Taverne, a member of Knut, initiated the project. Their goal was to craft a crushing and blasting death/grind sound, drawing inspiration from influential bands such as Terrorizer and Brutal Truth.
The initial lineup was solidified with the addition of Thomas on vocals and Seb on drums. Shortly after their formation, Mumakil released their debut album, "Customized Warfare," establishing their presence in the grindcore scene.
