Tony Blackburn (born Antony Kenneth Blackburn on 29 January 1943) is a prominent English disc jockey. He began his broadcasting career in the 1960s on the offshore pirate radio stations Radio Caroline and Radio London. Blackburn holds the distinction of being the first disc jockey to broadcast on BBC Radio 1 when the station launched in late September 1967.
In 2002, he gained wider public recognition by winning the first series of the ITV reality television programme I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!, earning the title "King of the Jungle".
