Alexisonfire

Alexisonfire emerged from St. Catharines, Ontario, in late 2001, a potent post-hardcore outfit born from the dissolution of three other bands. Their sound is defined by a dynamic interplay of raw energy and intricate guitar work, creating a signature turbulent and explosive style.

The band's distinctive name was inspired by Alexis Fire, a contortionist performer. This led to a brief legal dispute when she discovered they were using her name, including her website domain. However, as she had not trademarked the name, the threats of legal action did not materialize. In a show of defiance, the band later changed their website URL to theonlybandever.com.
