Tom Bailey

Tom Bailey, born January 18, 1956, is widely recognized as one half of the influential new wave and synth-pop duo, Thompson Twins. The band achieved significant commercial success throughout the 1980s with a string of hit singles. Bailey later explored different musical avenues, including membership in Babble, which represented a later phase of the Thompson Twins, though their two studio albums did not achieve widespread commercial success.

In 2018, Bailey launched his solo career with the release of his debut album, Science Fiction. Beyond his work with Thompson Twins and Babble, Bailey has also contributed to film scores and recorded various musical projects. He has performed dub music under the moniker International Observer and explored Indo-fusion sounds with the Holiwater Project.
